Air Force Human Resource System Technical Support (MilPDS)

air force esg logoDTSI’s role at the AFLCMC Business and Enterprise Systems, Human Resource System Technical Support Branch, JBSA provides the  development and sustainment support of the Military Personnel Data System (MilPDS). MILPDS is an Air Force wide, enterprise-scale military system constituting one of the world's largest Oracle HR implementations, involving over 100 military subsystems and in excess of 500,000 business rules, supporting all active duty and retired USAF members as well as Guard and Reserve components. The MILPDS serves the global customer base of the Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC) headquartered at Randolph Air Force Base.

Complete Lifecycle Support

DTSI's diverse team of technical professionals provide on-site technical support for all aspects of the entire software development life cycle. Our support includes e-business suite development and platform migration and transformation solutions, while leveraging state-of-the-art tool capabilities to continue modernization for the entire suite of MilPDS applications. During the development, migration, and transformation phases, DTSI has continued to maintain day-to-day services across the Air Force, while simultaneously providing upgrade solutions

The development and sustainment of the web applications encompasses a variety of web-based platforms, utilizing a host of development platforms and industry-leading tools and utilities. DTSI’s support relied on personnel with collective expertise in the area of SQL Servers, XML, XPATH, ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#, and SAS scripting languages, ColdFusion, PowerBuilder, PERL, decision agents, web services, IIS and Java.  Additionally, our end-to-end customer support included development and implementation of middleware services required by large-scale applications, providing enterprise-level security to numerous Air Force and DOD customers.

Team DTSI personnel continue to leverage current technologies and platforms in developing new applications. Modern applications are being designed with SOA-compliance as the primary objective. To satisfy this continuing objective, DTSI personnel approach development with the goal of ensuring the quality, interoperability, successful reuse, and consumption of services are consistent with SOA governance guidelines set forth by the Air Force.

Platform Migration

Platform migration of the Oracle HR domain is an integral part of the HRSTS task order. Our Oracle EBS team is focused on upgrading the Oracle HR platform as part of an overall Air Force strategy to prepare for the integration of personnel and pay applications. The DTSI team’s knowledge of Air Force personnel systems have allowed the team to serve as an effective ’subject matter expert’ for the PMO in achieving this objective. Collectively, DTSI personnel have supported critical support for this suite of Air Force enterprise-scale personnel systems for over 20 years.
